Bob Linscheid is the President & CEO of the Linscheid Company with offices in the San Francisco Bay Area. Originally formed in 1993, our principal operations involve comprehensive public relations and management services for a number of economic development organizations, trade associations, small businesses, and professional sports teams located in California.
Bob Linscheid is the past President & CEO of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce the largest and most inclusive business membership organization in San Francisco. Acting on its mission to attract, develop, and retain business in the city, the Chamber serves more than 2,500 member businesses and 250,000 employees through advocacy, business and economic development, and its foundation partners the San Francisco Center for Economic Development (SFCED), Leadership San Francisco (LSF), Chambers for Innovation and Clean Energy (CICE), and UNITE SF the City's comprehensive educational initiative.
Bob is the past Chairman of the Board of the California State University Board of Trustees. He served on the Board from 2005 to 2014. During his term on the Board he chaired Campus Planning Buildings and Grounds, Government Relations, and served on Educational Policy, Finance, Institutional Advancement and Collective Bargaining Committees.
He received his BA and Masters degrees in Public Administration from Chico State and served a term as Associated Student Body President. Bob has received numerous service awards including the College of Business Person of the Year, Executive of the Year for the Western Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, Humanitarian of the Year for Rotary District 5160 in 2003, and is a four-time Paul Harris Fellow Recipient in Rotary International. He is also a founder of Leadership Chico and served as President of Chico Rotary. He is currently a member of the Rotary Club of San Francisco #2. Bob has also been on three Rotaplast missions to South America (Venezuela, Chile, and Columbia). Linscheid is also a graduate of Leadership San Francisco in 2015.
For over twenty-five years Bob Linscheid was involved in the marketing and business attraction of companies to the North State region; for over 5 years he was specifically focused on innovation creating a local tech council comprised of many of the region’s leading CEOs and entrepreneurs.
In 2001, Linscheid led a collaborative marketing effort in which voters in the Butte-Glenn Community College District approved Measure A, an $84.9 million dollar general obligation bond to construct, repair, and equip classrooms, libraries, science/computer labs, and facilities; upgrade energy conservation, lighting, electrical, ventilation, and plumbing systems for the district.
In 2008, Bob was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award from the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences at Chico State.
