Operations Manager

Titus Built, LLC

Titus Built is a design-build, general contracting firm specializing in remodeling of $1 million to $5 million homes. Tasked with leading the estimating and project management teams, my focus has been creating and implementing production methods and tracking systems focused on three major areas within this $3,500,000 business: budget control, schedule control and customer satisfaction.

*    Since 4th quarter 2008, have assisted the owner in cultivating any and all new business while acquiring expanded areas of personal responsibility including project management, procurement, sales and cost estimating. Have assisted in the creation and launch of Titus Built's Home Energy Audit program, and promoted increased handyman services to our client base. These programs have established a stable, ongoing base of revenue while we continue to pursue larger remodeling projects.

*    Developed additional $75K in business employing snow removal, ice dam repair and mold remediation services during recent winter months

*    Developed simple systems for tracking budget, schedule and customer satisfaction; results published for company-wide review; tracking has resulted in profit increase of at least 10%*    Executed written workscope and subcontractor agreements for all trades; though difficult to quantify, subcontractor accountability has significantly improved

Jun 2003 - Dec 2007

Construction Manager/ Project Manager

Olympic Construction, LLC

Olympic is a young general contracting and construction management firm specializing in small to mid-sized construction. Core responsibilities at Olympic were managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors and customer service while developing new business in a broad variety of residential construction and renovation projects.

*      Produced tracking systems for monitoring schedules and budgets, yielding increased schedule compliance amidst a 20% increase in profit

*      Initiated methods for managing Engineering Change Orders including field documents for on-site customer approvals and ECO summaries

*      Purchased a property in Greenwich, CT, razed it and built a finely detailed, 3,000 square foot  colonial home which sold 15 months after purchase at a profit of $90,000

Sep 2000 - May 2003

Vice President of Engineering

Keurig, Incorporated

Keurig is the market leader in single-serve, portion-pack coffee brewing who challenged me to lead development and US-based manufacture of Keurig's at-home brewers. We launched Keurig's model B1000 commercial brewer in December, 2002 and Keurig's B100 home brewer in July, 2003. Following launch, responsibilities shifted to the conceptual design and development of Keurig's next generation brewing technology for high volume distribution to the mass market, launched as model B-60 in the fall of 2004.

*      Directed the development of scores of test procedures and fixtures to monitor consistency of brewer temperature, pressure, brew concentration and reliability of hardware and software; resultant millions of test cycles on completed brewers and brewer-critical components insured field reliability; production brewers consistently met or exceeded Keurig 30,000 brew cycle target

*      Led search for contract manufacturing partner to assist in product development while tooling for manufacture of 50,000 units annually;  my efforts joined Keurig with Mid-South Industries of Gadsden, AL who assisted in launching models B1000 and B100 and thereafter produced nearly 50,000 units of both models combined

*      Contributed to the expansion of Keurig's intellectual property portfolio as inventor on 1 and custodian of 4 utility patents issued in the development of Keurig's home brewer

Vice President of North American Operations

Raymond Marketing Corporation of North America

Raymond Marketing Corp., N.A. (RMC) was a wholly owned subsidiary of Raymond Industrial Limited (RIL) of Hong Kong who manufactures household appliances for worldwide distribution. RMC was responsible for marketing RIL's engineering and manufacturing services. Core responsibilities evolved at RMC from product development to executive management.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS*    RIL partnered with Clairol, Inc. who sought transfer of hair curler production lines from Denmark to Asia. Assisting in coordination of this transfer, my efforts focused on troubleshooting specialized manufacturing processes to improve production yield. Within 18 months, RIL produced 1,500,000 hair setters and more than 30,000,000 individual hair curlers, RIL's most successful program in its history at that time.*      RMC targeted additional opportunities aligned with RIL's manufacturing strengths. My efforts assisted in the development of home bread making machines, resulting in an exclusive partnership with Sunbeam Products. By 1995, RIL had produced and shipped more than 250,000 bread makers, yielding revenues of $30,000,000 and making RIL Sunbeam's largest supplier worldwide.

Major area of study was Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Metallurgy, a curriculum UConn created for obtaining a degree in Materials Engineering

Have received one-on-one individualized training...I use AutoCAD routinely in communicating and specifying architectural and design details.

Project Development and Management

In more than twenty years of managing the development of consumer products, engineered components and residential construction, I have honed critical skills in containing projects within budget and schedule while insuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Whether leading engineers while designing injection molded parts and heating assemblies, or coordinating tradesmen while remodeling a client's home, I consistently achieve critical project milestones on time and within budget. Customer satisfaction follows readily thereafter.
