MetroTex Association of REALTORS© founded in 1924 as a 501 (c) (6) nonprofit organization with a growing membership of nearly 14,000 realtors, a staff of 50, and an operating budget of 3.2 million.

Our understanding of your need is to have a professional facilitator to assist the organization in determining strategic goals and objectives for the coming year that will also serve as a framework for decision making and performance monitoring. In addition, assistance in identifying a dashboard of performance measures and targets to determine success in achieving strategic objectives.

Retina Foundation of the Southwest

The Retina Foundation of the Southwest (the Foundation) was established in 1975 by three Dallas eye surgeons, as a charitable, educational and scientific nonprofit corporation.The Foundation is located in Dallas, Texas and has become one of the nation’s premier independent eye research institutions. In fact, the Foundation plays a unique role in vision research in that it bridges the gap between basic science and applied medical practice.

The Foundation has 29 employees, all but four working as research scientists and operates on a budget of $3.8 million. The Foundation operates six research labs and the Southwest Eye Registry to study pediatric eye disorders, macular degeneration, and genetic eye diseases, serving over 2700 people annually, who have been referred by partnering ophthalmologists.

Desired Outcomes

  • A collaborative process that appropriately engages the Board, staff, clients, funders and partner agencies.
  • An comprehensive organizational assessment (Financial, Programs, Operations, Governance & Leadership)
  • A consensus on priority issues, strategic goals, objectives, and specific performance outcomes.
  • A detailed 5-year strategic plan supported by the Board of Directors and Staff.
