Professional Bull Riders, Inc.

Responsible for ensuring day to day continuity for the Professional Bull Riders primary web property, www.pbr.com. Created new sections according to business needs, within time and budget constraints. Developed end-to-end solution for publish live event scores from the primary Built Ford Tough Series bull riding events. This included programming C# application to run on the event server, publish data to a web service page, development of a Flash web application to read XML and SQL data in real time to display live scores to web visitors. This netted an overall increase in site traffic, and quickly became a top 10 destination for pbr.com each week. Developed content administration systems into existing CMS as well as developed new CMS systems from the ground up. Created Flash banner ads to send to various partners to promote the PBR. Performed server administration duties on Windows Server 2003, Linux including middleware and database administration. Assisted in administration of other various business systems, including Avaya VOIP systems.

As the only web developer on staff, I played an integral role leading Estes-Cox Corporation into a new era of online presence.Through the 2 ½; years I developed for Estes-Cox Corporation, I led the company in self-hosting 3 out of 4 web properties. I also helped lead the integration of two of them into the company ERP system.3 of the 4 properties also utilized a storage area network as a media store for all graphics, images, PDF and video files.While leading the development, online sales were increased and the main web property gained 40% more search engine traffic.Project management, interface with various departments and mid-senior level management helped transform the online presence.

Operated small web development business as one of two general partners, focused primarily on developing web sites for local small business entities.  Advanced use of Macromedia Studio MX and Studio 8 were employed to rapidly prototype sites.  All web sites were then created using sliced PNG/JPG/GIF images and layout used CSS rather than tables. Developed all marketing, advertising and promotions used in business functions both online and offline.

Adjunct Instructor

Northeastern Junior College

As an adjunct instructor, I taught courses through the Adult Continuing Education department.  These courses were generally 3 to 5 day or evening courses and many times were frequented by local educators needing to get their refresh credits for their teaching certificates.  These courses included Digital Photography & Cameras, Microsoft Office 2003 and Beginning Internet.

I also taught the Digital Design course in the Spring 2005 Semester.  This course took students from creating a layout in Firworks, to slicing it and building HTML pages in DreamWeaver and finally creating a Flash animation element and adding to the pages.  The students were also introduced to basic search engine optimization, coding standards and basic Cascading Style Sheets.
