Bhavini A. Doshi, attorney-at-law, obtained her Undergraduate Degree at Rutgers University, then went on to complete her Juris Doctorate at Boston College Law School in May 2008. In addition, Bhavini is a graduate and alumni of the Eagleton Institute of Politics and the Institute of Women’s Leadership.
Ms. Doshi was elected to the Rutgers University Senate, which is the only legislative and advisory body representing the whole community of alumni, administrators, staff, faculty and students to the president and various boards of Rutgers University. Playing such an active part in the university she was studying in, Ms. Doshi participated in advising on areas that included: special affiliations and programs; regulations affecting faculty and students, such as those having to do with equal opportunities and academic freedom; general planning, allocations and budget priorities; establishment or dissolution of various educational units of the institution; educational and research policy changes.
Ms. Doshi has been President of the South Asian Law Student Association (SALSA) and former Member of NetIP-New York as VP for Political Awareness. Bhavini has also been a Former Member of the Board of Directors of Manavi, a non-profit organization serving the South Asian community of New Jersey. Currently, she sits on the Board of the Learning Community Charter School, aside from being a current member of APALA and Eagleton Institute Alumni Board Treasurer. She worked for 4 ½ years at Decotiis, Fitzpatrick & Cole, LLP, a law firm comprising of practical, roll-up-your-sleeves attorneys who get things done for clients.
Ms. Doshi joined the Contracts and Procurement Department of Jersey City in 2013.
