Bethany Haggarty

Bethany Haggarty

Summary

I am experienced in delivering customer service across the catering and hospitality and retail sectors.  I enjoy interacting with the public and giving the customer a high quality, friendly and efficient service.  I am a quick learner and enjoy working in a team environment.  I am polite, personable and dedicated to the job I am doing.

I am a qualified florist with a distinction from a renowned agricultural college and a unique creative

approach to flower display. My artistic background in painting and graphic design has helped me

develop a keen eye for colour, composition, contrast and form.

I have recently completed a diploma in Floristry at Plumpton college in East Sussex, where I gained

a Distinction. This course gave me opportunities to cover areas in floristry such as wedding design,

Event design, Funeral arrangements, Flower Couture, Botany, Plant and Flower Identification and

Plant and Cut flower care. Whilst maintaining excellent grades across all modules of my diploma I

particularly excelled in floristry couture and event design.

Additionally I have experience of working in a number of florists in Brighton each with a different

style and approach. This work allowed me the opportunity of experiencing hands on wedding

display art. and the experience of working in a busy high Street Florist. In these positions I was

responsible for the care and conditioning of flowers, compiling bouquets, arranging the window

displays, and providing arrangements for several regular contracts for local businesses. I utilised my

excellent communication, organisation and artistic skills to carry out this work effectively. I have a

courteous, warm approachable manner and work well with people. I am confident in my abilities to

assist clients and offer advise on design and suitable flowers that will compliment clients' wishes.

Completing my diploma in Floristry and I would openly

welcome the opportunity to gain further experience. I am writing to offer you my time, talent, skill

and enthusiasm . You will find me to be hard working, quick and eager to

learn new styles and techniques. I am an amicable young person with a deep rooted passion for

plants and the natural world.
