Summary

Pursuing his dream of helping people when they most need somebody to depend on, Dr. Bernie Raudszus has served as Director of the Living Well Counseling Center in Plymouth, Michigan, for 12 years. An ordained minister, licensed psychologist, and licensed professional counselor, Dr. Raudszus amassed an impressive list of credentials and a history of helping others prior to founding the Living Well Counseling Center. Dr. Raudszus felt compelled to create this resource for people in search of support and guidance. Dr. Bernie Raudszus is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, the American Psychological Association, the Michigan Business & Professional Association, and the National Board for Certified Counselors and Affiliates, Inc. Previously, Dr. Bernie Raudszus worked with a Montana county jail as a Volunteer Chaplain and actively participated in organizing the jail ministry for prisoners. Dr. Raudszus also gave a number of convention and church presentations between 1997 and 2000 regarding such topics as marriage, care communities, and the intertwining roles of psychology, spirituality, and theology. Upon starting the Living Well Counseling Center in 1999, Dr. Bernie Raudszus assumed roles as both the center’s Director and as a Staff Psychologist, ensuring not only that the entire operation runs smoothly, but that the people who make use of it get appropriate treatments and the support that they need to handle the issues distressing them. Dr. Raudszus counsels clients individually, and also hires and trains clinicians, drafts and presents the annual business plan to the Board of Directors, and works to establish a strong base of professionals and specialists who are available for client referrals. Recognizing the need for personal relaxation, Dr. Bernie Raudszus enjoys playing classical guitar, sailing the Great Lakes, working on motorcycles, and mountain climbing.
