About Ben Willingham

An accomplished professional within the financial sector, Ben Willingham, III has largely focused his career on the acquisition and management of commercial real estate. Currently serving as the CEO of Nashville, Tennessee-based AmCorp Realty Corporation, he oversees the company’s management, leasing and ownership of some of the most desirable real estate assets in the United States. Ben Willingham chartered AmCorp in 2002 after deciding to focus on acquiring properties in various high-profile locations. Under his leadership, the company has expanded its footprint well beyond the Southern United States and maintains a private real estate portfolio that covers seven states and includes both net leased and multi-tenant properties.

Ben Willingham, III began his career in banking. He studied banking and finance at the Zurich Business School in Switzerland and later continued his studies at Belmont University in Nashville. After working at a local banking institution for two years, he started Third Federal Investment Group, Inc., a company that acquired various properties and provided third-party brokerage services. In the late 1980’s, Ben Willingham bought and sold residential houses through the company and invested the profits in commercial buildings. A large portion of Mr. Willingham’s office building portfolio was sold in the late 1990’s to reallocate and diversify his real estate portfolio.
