Managing Executive - Communication Solutions

Tellumat
Restructured Tellumat’s two commercial communication Business units (Telecoms and Wireless Solutions) into a single entity named Tellumat Communication Solutions. This new entity focuses on professional services, unified communications and product distribution and supply to Telco’s and service providers. Main responsibility was to design and execute a turn around strategy specifically of the wireless component of the new combined business unit, to increase focus in respective market areas, achieving economies of scale and make the combined business a profitable entity within Tellumat. Main challenge was the change management integrating the senior management of the two separate business units into one. This new business unit is now profitable and aggressive growth plans are being put into place. About Tellumat Communication Solutions Tellumat offers intelligent communication solutions for telecommunications operators, service providers, enterprise customers and resellers. These include: • A high-tech wireless network design capability • Best of breed enterprise voice communication solutions • Integrated professional services with full turnkey implementation and managed services (network design, rollout, upgrades, maintenance, repairs, support and managed operations services) Based in Cape Town and Pretoria we focus on two main business areas namely, professional services and enterprise solutions.

Managing Executive

Tellumat
Managing the Telecoms business unit in Tellumat and report directly into the CEO. Main responsibility was to change the business unit from manufacturing and supplying product to one major channel into supplying business solutions and Customer Premises Equipment to key customers in the telecommunications domain. Ongoing focus includes the liaison and negotiation with various overseas suppliers and high-level negotiation with local operators, service providers and sub-distributors. A number of prominent operators were signed up with multi million Rand supply contracts secured.

Tellumat
Managed two Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) with one of Tellumat’s major clients, which included support, software development and maintenance on the core product and Value added products.

Technical Manager

Tellumat
Managed all technical development and support activities of the Tellumat Telecoms department. This included hardware development, embedded software and application software on Tellumat’s PBX and Value added products.
