Objective

I am looking for my next opportunity as my position with Intel is coming to a close.  An ideal opportunity would be to leverage recent skills in Linux, Python and computer networking.  As I begin my transition, I am adding skills in data science and machine learning.

Product Support Engineer

Provide 4th level product support on Intel High Performance Computing (HPC) Fabric products to include Omni-Path and True Scale.  Diagnose and troubleshoot HPC customer technical problems and bring to resolution. Manage incoming customer support issues (via emails, portal postings, or phone calls, onsite when necessary).   Perform linux distribution administration, installation, and troubleshooting to solve customer host software problems. 

Support OEMs and/or integrators with new cluster testing and acceptance.  Provide guidance, advice, training, and mentoring of Level 1 and Level 2 support staff.  Maintain assigned product support lab equipment rack for facilitation of learning and recreation of customer technical issues

 

 

 

Software Test Validation Engineer                                         

As a member of Interconnection Validation team, develop an understanding of new Intel architectures and software products for High Performance Computing (HPC).  Learn new Intel software products functionality from technical specifications and design guides. Then develop test validation plans to ensure product feature functionality and performance.  Explore optimal test approaches and writing test cases to increase product feature coverage for manual and automated test environments.  Run tests, analyze failures, report bugs, and assist in debugging process.  Gather and analyze test metrics and develop and suggest improvement plans.  Work closely with hardware and software development teams. 

Perform some scripting of test using tcl/expect and Python on Linux Red Hat and SLES operating systems.  Use Open MPI tests as well as other open source products for testing.  Conduct full HPC fabric testing utilizing Xia Chariot test product for generating traffic and test patterns.  Utilize Wireshark to analyze and troubleshoot tests and fabric.

Read, research, and apply standards such as Open Fabric Alliance, Infinband Trade Association, and IEEE current True Scale standards for testing of Intel’s next generation HPC platform.

Member of engineering team conducting research in science and technology evaluation for the US Army.Currently conducting research in Mobile Ad Hoc Network routing in tactical networks.Utilizing open source products on LINUX platforms: Vmware player, VirtualBox, NS-3, NS-2 to perform modeling, simulation, and test of a new inter-domain routing protocol for MANETs.Present and write papers on relevant findings in research.Participate in MANET related conferences and workshops to advance and collaborate the area of Mobile AdHoc Networks.Give talks and presentations on our research and related technologies.

Provide data collection and analysis for ASEO/Operational Data Collection Analysis (ODCA).   Perform network and application performance analysis on collected customer data sets.  Provide results in stanadard report to customer base and management.  Assist in installing and maintaining development lab for network simulation and analysis scenarios.  Install and maintain Opnet analysis tools SP Guru, Application Transaction Analysis(ATX), Application Response Export(ARX), JCSS, and VNE server on the latest revisions and patches.  Use additional tools for analysis such as Solarwinds, Wireshark, and Shunra.
