I am an Assistant Principal at UMS-Wright Preparatory School in Mobile, Alabama. I have been employed at UMS-Wright for four years as a middle school science teacher, and this year, 2012, I have been promoted to my current administrative role. My responsibilities include the day-to-day operations of the middle school (grades 6-8), assisting the Athletic Director with athletic event organization, overseeing the Honor Council (grades 6-12), evaluating and implementing classroom technology, and organizing disciplinary detention which includes designing online courses to provide "time of reflection".

I quickly reached one of my professional objectives this year, which was to enter educational administration. I am not sure how far “up” in educational administration I would like to climb, but that is a benefit of being young in the field. For now, my current goal is to complete a Master’s in Science in the field of Instructional Design and Development at the University of South Alabama. My goals may shift upon the completion of this degree. I could foresee myself developing online courses, for both students and teachers, for educational institutions. At this point, I am very happy with my current position and looking forward to the future.

SMARTboard/ SMART Response
I have used a SMARTboard and the SMART Response System in my classroom for the last four years. I have become proficient in the use of the SMARTboard and Response System, and lead annual workshops at UMS-Wright. I have also demonstrated the use of a SMARTboard for a national company's promotional video.
Audio Engineer
I am a volunteer audio engineer for my church, Pathway Church, with over 14 years of experience. I started running sound at the age of twelve for my dad who was the children's pastor. I progressed to the youth department which featured a full band and many offers around the Mobile area. Freshman year of college I traveled around the southeast with a large choir and worked for Lee University's Conn Center. The second semester of my sophomore year I was promoted to Audio Supervisor. As supervisor, I scheduled and managed the audio personnel for three performance buildings which were used on a daily basis. My most notable accomplishments at Lee University were being the first student Audio Supervisor and engineering yearly concerts of a 500 member mass choir that was accompanied by a symphonic orchestra. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
