  • I am an avid skier and share my passion for the sport as an instructor in a children's ski school, Powderpigs  in Snoqualmie, WA.
  • A "fair weather" golfer, I occasionally break 100, but truly enjoy getting with friends and clients to enjoy local golf courses

Vice President, Client Manager II

Bank of America, Dealer Financial Services

In fifteen years of service to the bank, I have performed tasks in support of on-going reorganizations, shifts in focus and responses to market conditions. Beginning with the most recent, these positions in chronological order have included:

  • Client Manager, Commercial and Retail Lending for the State of Alaska: Managed existing commercial relationships in Alaska, while soliciting new  business, marketed the bank retail finance program to new vehicle dealerships. Grew the commercial portfolio to $125MM and within six months of the retail product introduction was generating and average of $750M per month in new business from signed dealerships.
  • Client Manager, Commercial Lending, Oregon and SW Washington: Managed a client team responsible for a $425MM commercial portfolio. My team and I provided consultative services for client and prospect new vehicle dealerships, as well as inventory, term and revolving credit facilities, treasury management and merchant services solutions. In this role I consistently met or exceeded revenue goals of approximately $3.6MM annually. As the face of the Bank of America Auto Group in Oregon, I was active in the Oregon Automobile Dealership Association activities and philanthropic activities sponsored by both the bank and my clients. I was moved from this position as part of an on-going geographic consolidation. 
  • Client Manager, Commercial Lending NW Washington: Managed a commercial portfolio in excess of $675MM. In this position I met or exceeded revenue and new business objectives. I was moved from this position due to a reorganization where my manager's position was eliminated and he assumed my position. 
  • Retail Specialist, NW Washington: Marketed the bank's retail finance program to new vehicle dealerships. Consistent calling activity established strong relationships with dealership principles and finance personnel, attracting quality finance opportunities. In addition to communicating changes in underwriting criteria and providing on-going feedback about the performance of a dealership's portfolio, I served as the key player in resolving issues regarding credit offerings of concern to senior credit management. I was promoted from this position to a commercial client manager position. 
  • Area Relationship Manager, NW Washington: Managing a team of underwriters and processors, I grew the retail business from approximately $23MM to over $40MM in indirect auto and RV loans from signed dealerships on a monthly basis. I ensured purchased contracts complied with consumer lending laws and bank credit guidelines. I approved exceptions to credit policy, ensuring clear and concise supporting comments for third party reviewers were documented. I was moved from this position as part of the Nationsbank - Bank of America merger reorganization.

Korum Motors

Managed a team of Business Managers and support associates charged with accurately documenting the sale of approximately 400 vehicles and RV's per month. Negotiated the sale of indirect consumer contracts to signed lenders and provided on-going coaching to associates maximizing profit opportunities in the course of selling finance products. Responsible to ownership for ensuring dealership associates conducted their activities in conformance with applicable Fair Lending Laws and in an ethical manner.
