Forsyth County School System is an award winning school system that utilizes the most powerful teaching practices to help promote complete integration of technology in the classroom. Number one in the state for several important factors exhibiting success beyond the classroom. Forsyth County Schools are a world leader and frequently have dignitaries visit from other systems both in Georgia and from around the world. Visitors come to scout out the implementation of BYOT (bring your own technology), Olweus anti-bullying program, and dynamic scheduling that affords 8th graders of varying aptitudes to pick up multiple high school credits among other things.
Helped write the pacing guide for science and was on committee to help develop educational outings for the new Sawnee Mtn Preserve education center.
Also, participated on committee to integrate physical science for highs school credit into all 8th grade science departments.
Presented at Georgia Science Teacher's Association convention- Science Olympiad in the classroom
Classes taught- earth science, physical science, life science, computer science, inquiry based learning for physical science students, along with a wide variety of character development programs.
TutoringTree was a company that linked parents and students with professionals trained to help in specific need areas. While employed with TutoringTree I worked with individual students as well as group homes for both boys and girls who were either homeless, wards of the state, or in transition between homes and foster care.
After TutoringTree I have continued to work independently in this same field helping a wide variety of students who would either become valedictorian at the state's #1 public school, attend various universities and military academies, and in some cases the goal was "just to graduate."

Building on my years of working in the field of organic chemistry research during undergraduate and graduate studies Rhône-Poulenc textile chemistry was a transition from experimental chemistry to a hands on product analysis and reverse technology practices. Immediately following the company being sold and moved I transferred graduate degree programs from chemistry to education.
Reservist in Military Intelligence unit attached to the 82nd Airborne until Desert Storm broke out at which time I voluntarily went active duty to serve my country and was reassigned to a Patriot Missile Battalion in Kaiserslautern Germany. Upon earning a honorable discharge with a disability rating I returned to UNC-Asheville to complete my studies.
Master's and Specialist degrees from Mercer University. Mercer University is a private University which prepares teachers to employ leading edge technology, integrating up to date instructional practices, focuses on the individual needs of students and encourages using multidisciplinary inquiry based teaching pedagogy. Graduated with a 3.8 GPA

While attending UNCA I worked as a contractor in the research tower performing a variety of chemical reactions over a two year period. These organic chemistry reactions were sent to Switzerland to be tested for anti-cancer activity and the results published in various chemical journals and symposiums.
Also performed the duties of lab assistant and teacher's assistant for chemistry and chemistry for nursing students.
