General Manager, Carrier and Metro Ethernet Caribbean


Leading Carrier and Metro Ethernet businesses to meet financial and growth targets for the Caribbean, an area which accounts for 36% of revenue and 55% of profit for CALA region.Increased CDMA market share by 2% with Jamaica and Trinidad wins.Secured #1 market share for Carrier VoIP via business in 9 Caribbean nations.Maintained GSM revenues and profitability in a market which declined 7% with major expansions in Trinidad, Bahamas, Guyana and Suriname.Expanded Optical share with 10G and Metro wins in Antigua, Bahamas, Belize, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Guyana, Jamaica, Panama and Suriname.Grew Carrier Ethernet business with two Provider Backbone Bridging (PBB) and Provider Backbone Transport (PBT) wins in the Dominican Republic.Created and executed WiMAX and LTE regional strategy.Created and implemented Carrier green technology campaign.Guided CALA Go-to-Market strategy for Applications business.Implemented new Microsoft CRM tool, processes and standards.

·Network replacements of Ericsson, Lucent, Nokia and Siemens;

·Greenfield market wins in Dominican Republic WiMAX & GSM, Guyana GSM, British W.I. GSM;

·Major expansion of GSM in Tier 1 operator America Movil;

·Attained #1 market share in EV-DO (Broadband Wireless) including Telefonica win;

·Network operations outsourcing contracts with 10 carriers.

Vodafone Global Senior Sales Manager


Led global UMTS sales strategy development, executing and honing taking revenues from $0 to $250 million annually.Responsible for all interactions with Vodafone’s Group R&D, Global IT & Technology Management, Marketing and Product Development.Integral part of winning strategic supplier status for Wireless networking equipment.Guided strategy and customer engagement to achieve UMTS (3G) sales to Italy, Spain, Portugal and the United Kingdom.Drove Vodafone required development.Directed teams including Marketing, PLM and technical sales support to achieve solution sales including VoIP, enterprise, data and voice compression, transport and wireless packet core solutions in Europe, Middle East and Oceania.

1998 - 1999

Senior Network Engineering Manager


Directed contract negotiation to replace AirTouch’s CDMA and AMPS networks in Los Angeles, San Diego and Las Vegas.Directed largest-ever wireless network replacement for AirTouch Los Angeles which became Verizon Wireless’ best performing CDMA network.Led team of 80 RF design and performance engineers to plan, replace, optimize and achieve customer acceptance of networks without service interruption to 1.5 million customers within eight months of contract signing. Primed technical negotiations, deployment planning and team recruitment resulting in multi-year contract supply agreement to secure network replacement and three years of network growth for AT&T Wireless on the West Coast.Managed RF Engineering teams for U.S. Region.

RF Manager & Consultant


Retained to select vendor and build out network to exceed AT&T Wireless service and performance standards.Managed RF & Network Engineering teams responsible for TeleCorp contracted design, optimization and network deployment services.Led TeleCorp’s on-time Southern Region turnkey design and deployment to achieve best network performance of any AT&T Wireless affiliate.Managed engineering teams deploying wireless networks in international and domestic markets.

1996 - 1997

Senior RF Engineer


Designed and deployed new Sprint PCS CDMA networks in Arkansas and Nebraska markets.Trained and managed RF Engineering teams.Conducted link budget, network inter-operability and deployment assessments.Instituted quality control and customer acceptance measures. Assisted in the development of Nortel’s CDMA optimization software and procedures.Managed Mid West engineering teams.

1994 - 1996

RF Design Engineer


Designed, deployed and operated Nextel’s Los Angeles Wireless iDEN network.Supervised optimization related changes and new hardware & software introduction for Southern California and Nevada.Oversaw site acquisition, construction, and regulatory applications for 25% of LA.Trained new RF Engineers.Managed a Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS) group which improved communication and performance.
