Veteran legal industry professional Barbara Wilkanowski has worked with New York’s finest law enforcement officials for more than 20 years. Former Queens County District Attorney's Office Supervising Assistant District Attorney Barbara Wilkanowski has successfully prosecuted countless criminal cases throughout her many years on the job. Assistant D.A. Barbara Wilkanowski also handled the supervision and daily running of felony courtroom operations, which allowed her to demonstrate her abilities as a true leader and put her years of experience to use. Barbara Wilkanowski worked at the Queens County District Attorney's Office in Kew Gardens, New York since summer 1988 and recently ended her tenure with the D.A.’s Office in August 2008. Barbara Wilkanowski leaves behind a lengthy career of prosecution and professionalism. The beginning of Barbara Wilkanowski’s education is marked by a stint at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City. Barbara Wilkanowski dedicated herself to her studies, and her efforts put her on the school’s Dean’s List from 1980 to 1984, as well as the National Dean’s List. Barbara Wilkanowski, who was a member of the Nu Gamma Sigma Criminal Justice Honor Society, graduated magna cum laude and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration and Planning. Before she officially embarked on the path to her legal career, Ms. Barbara Wilkanowski was a student at CUNY School of Law at Queens College in Flushing, Queens. Barbara Wilkanowski started law school in the fall of 1985 and completed her law school experience in May 1988, a few months before she landed a top-notch position in the Queens County District Attorney's Office. After years of studying law, Barbara Wilkanowski earned her Juris Doctorate.
