Provided psychosocial assessments of patients and families to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and problems related to their diagnosis, illness, treatment, and/or life situation. Formulated, developed, and implemented a comprehensive psychosocial treatment plan for patients and their families utilizing appropriate clinical social work treatments and interventions with the help of MSW supervisor. Population served were medical inpatients between the ages of 0-21 and their family members.
Answering a multi-line phone system and transferring calls when necessary.
Assisting callers with password related issues in regards to Olivet email, Oasis, and Blackboard as well PC/Mac software and hardware issues including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Anti-Virus programs, USB drives, hard drives.

I worked as a team member at a Wendy's in Flint, MI during the summer months and on holidays. I was communicating with customers on a daily basis taking orders, and running the cash register, as well as coordinating in the drive thru and cleaning/stocking the dining room. I worked for Big Boy as a hostess, greeting customers as they came into the restaurant and leading them to their seats. Additionally, I operated the cash register and handled money as customers paid for their food at the end of their meal. I was responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the restrooms, menus and pie cases and making sure the hostess was stocked properly.
Graduated Cum Laude with a 3.64 grade point average, and a 4.0 grade point average for social work. Completed a minor in Biology along with my social work major. Extracurricular activities included the Sister2Sister mentor program for freshman girls, and Women's Residential Life Council. Recent College Graduate: I graduated Cum Laude on May 9, 2009 from Olivet Nazarene University with my Bachelor of Social Work degree. I am currently living in North Carolina and I am passionate about being an advocate for children. Professional experience within the social services industry includes: a four month internship at Duke University Medical Center in the pediatric pulmonary unit. The internship was clinically focused and I completed numerous psychosocial assessments and patient check ins. I also wrote my own case notes which were reviewed by my supervisor and submitted to the patient's medical record. Goals within the social services industry include: working within a larger medical setting, as a medical social worker. Future goals include being a medical social worker in a Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, or Pediatric Oncology Unit.
