I am a writer, artist, filmmaker and Photographer with wide interest in different media exploring themes that include gender, art, cultures and cultural histories as well as individualities and their survival in the hyperglobalized world we live in. I am hard working, curious, a perfectionist, friendly, self-driven and a staunch believer in quality work speaking for itself.

Application as a Correspondent

I am a interested in exploring the Kenyan, or rather more realistically, Nairobian psyche and how it contributes to or shields itself from the greater global  in terms of contributions to key terms and movements such as Afrofuturism/ Surrealism and the increasingly popular appending of the prefix "Afro". As an arts practitioner myself, I often end up in conversations that concern the greater public but exclude them and I feel that as a correspondent, this would be closer to getting the public involved in these conversations. I am interested in exploring the progressive circles of Nairobi and how they are automatically othered and form a counterculture as well as how they survive or react to the mainstream.
