Consistently called upon to organize, train, and supervise data entry, filing, and administrative temporary personnel. Created work schedules, monitored staff in their daily duties, provided office equipment and training when needed, and coached teams of 5 to 7 temporary employees during recent temporary positions. Leadership, organization, a friendly, cheerful and energetic attitude all contribute to why managers trust me to take over when they cannot be there for administrative temporary staff.
Sporting an extreme fascination with language, capable of learning basic phrases to service various cultures based upon the capability to ask for specific information:   Currently able to converse in simple conversational:   Castillian Spanish Russian Polish Irish Gaelic Hawaiian Created small databases of information and tutored other customer service agents in the use of conversational etiquette. Telephone and text customer service is often affected by the service agent's capability to effectively begin a conversation with the customer by use of greetings appropriate to the customer's locality. This fosters an immediate link between the agent and the customer, relaxing  both parties and insuring that the rest of the conversation moves smoothly during the rest of the call, regardless of  distance, language, and nationality. The databases included customary greetings, conversational questions and answers, and proper farewells. If translators are needed, sentences indicating that translators will be transferred onto the line were also included. Willingness to bend a little for the customer goes a long way in creating a customer-friendly atmosphere that resonates with residents and corporations across the country and around the world.
Computer Friendly
I have worked with computers since their inception. From the grand old IBM 386 and the continually used AS400 to Macs and personal computers, I've probably worked with them all. I am also able to install software, perform routine maintenance, and can open a computer and replace hardware / memory / boards! Here's a condensed list of  some of the platforms and software that I've worked on:   MS Windows, (WinXP, Win2K), MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access), Email Clients (MS Outlook, Lotus Notes), Standard Business Applications (WinFax, Acrobat). Telephone, Messaging Systems, PBX/KSU telephone systems (NEC, Toshiba/Nortel/AT&T), Trouble Ticket and CS Tracking software (SAGE, Oracle, Adobe Acrobat), Unified Messaging Systems (KeyVoice AVT, ACD/IVR Apropos, DAX), Autodialers (TeamMax, TeleMessanger), ASAP, SAP, ERP, MRP, Warehouse Management Software (SAGE. Enterprise), AS400, DOS, HTML, Cisco IOS.
During my career I've worn many hats: Switchboard Operator, Electrologist, Pet Store Clerk, Vintage Clothing Sales, Fast Food Chain worker, Movie Theater Counter person, Librarian, Receptionist, Stock person, Machine Operator, Writer, Pond Consultant, Educational Children's Toys Salesperson, Emergency Medical Dispatcher, Repair Dispatcher, Account Representative, Order Taker, Data Entry Clerk, Technical Analyst, Picker, Packer, Shipper, Customer Service Agent, and the list goes on. I do not turn down a challenge, especially when I have some of the qualities needed for a position. I learn quickly, adapt quickly, and most often achieve excellence in everything that I do. Versatility is a leading edge for any company. I share it willingly.
All companies need someone to oversee their data storage and filing needs. Utilizing my training as a librarian at Oxford University Press, I can get any company back on its feet - even if the storage is buried in a wall of computer chaos. Months worth of backed-up scanning is no problem, and while processing data, all files will be at your call at a moment's notice - because every file will be in its place! I performed this feat of "magic" for two companies, most recently: Insurance Auto Auctions and National Best Security. See my portfolio picture of me and my team (above, top left)  in the file room at IAAI!
Team Player
The experience of working with a team is extremely rewarding to me. From the first moments of meeting your team members, to the first success, to the use of everyday motivation and humor, friendships made, and finally the feeling of family: each and every moment is key. Working with a team is not unlike Customer Service: each member has a voice, and taking the time to listen to concerns, empathize, and motivate are all part of it. I have had the opportunity to work with many teams during my career, and each and every one of them is near and dear to my heart. Being part of a team is both exciting and challenging, and I look forward to meeting my next family!
Customer Service
Over 20 years in Customer Service with an emphasis in technical and computer help, as well as medical, construction, and maintenance. No matter where your customer is -- international, national, or local, and no matter what the issue is -- connectivity, a plumbing leak, or problems using equipment, no concern is too big or too small. Customer empathy, along with a patient ear and a subtle guiding technique fit the bill every time. There is nothing like the satisfaction of meeting a customer face-to-face after what seemed to be a monumental problem has been carefully handled by such an experienced Customer Service Representative; and finally getting to shake their hand.
