Avi Chaudhuri served for 16 years on the faculty at McGill University’s Department of Psychology, where he served as Director of the Behavioral Neuroscience Training Program. His activities also included teaching a course in behavioral neuroscience that covered the general principles of brain and other neural functioning and encompassed an overview of the sensory systems. Avi Chaudhuri received multiple awards, including the 1995 Royal Bank of Canada Teaching Innovation Award and the Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship. Dr. Chaudhuri’s publications include Fundamentals of Sensory Perception, a textbook published by Oxford University Press in 2011. He is currently working on the second edition of his book.
