Food Security/ Ethnographic Studies/Graduate Thesis

Prepared and implemented proposal for a five week qualitative immersion fair trade impact study in Peru. Refreshed basic Spanish fluency beforehand for a more immersive experience. Collaborated and worked with several fair trade cocoa producers for research based on impact of fair trade on food security. Successfully managed the project, which included the hiring of a full-time translator, scheduling interviews with informants; curated creative content and thirty hours of recorded interviews.

A self-proclaimed food communicator collaborating with other food creatives: home cooks, chefs, farmers, fermenters, foragers, land and sea hunters, and home gardeners on telling compelling food stories meant to inspire others in getting into their kitchens to cook.
