I was responsible for complete manufacturing of Powercell Batteries in the plant with an installed capacity of 24 Million Pcs Per Month and we could achieve 22 Million pcs /Month on an average during the period of my stay at the Organization.

I was heading complete operations and did achieve significant mile stones during the two year period. Important being TPM Implementation and change the work culture of the employees towards TPM.

Did face irritants and minor work related problems and go-slow by operating crew. But could manage the situation and convince them to join in the overall objective of the organization.

I was managing more than 325 employees both male and female and about 37 Management staff including 10 Senior Managers

Facilities Management and Maintenance Engineering

Has been a pioneer in facilities and maintenance engineering. Has implemented TPM and change management initiatives successfuly in the 2 organizations that I have been employed in my career.   Has been a process owner and lead role in implementing SAP Plant Maintenance Module in two organizations.   Has contributed significantly in reducing MTTR and MTBF in all the organization that I have been working in Maintenance and engineering functions.  

Energy Management

I am proficient in Energy Management, Energy Audit, CDM Projects and all facets of Energy usage in a engineering and process Industry.   Have contributed and continue to contribute significantly in the current role in optimising the energy profile and carbon footprint of the organization in Sri Lankan Region.   Have implemented total changeover from Fossil Fuel to Bio-mass in the region's dependency on energy and we are free from fossil fuel usage, this has been a single largest contribution in the region.   the electricity profile and cost as a % of sale has remained constant or lower inspite of actual consumption being more than 4 times in the last 3 years due to business expansion
