Selected to plan and execute entire legal strategy for Dell’s introduction into the Latin American distributorship and retail market.

Managed legal responsibility for all areas for Dell in Mexico and Latin America northern cone including Caribbean and Central America, regarding transactional matters and litigation in administrative, criminal and civil law.

-Appointed to the prestigious Emerging Leader Program in 2008; Honored with Legal Excellence Award in 2006 and 2007 and CFO Excellence Award in 2006.

-Garnered a $400 million revenue increase by designing and implementing the retail and distributorship legal structure for introduction into the entire Latin American region.

-Drafted, executed and negotiated all major distribution contracts including the wholesalers’ agreements.

-Reduced all legal contingencies in the region due to the dealer protectionist laws, reducing risk by $40 million.

-Obtained a penalty payment of over $41 million, by leading negotiations with Mexican Government for the early termination of a services agreement.

-Reached a successful arrangement that restricted sales in the country of over $25 million, by serving in the role of Negotiation Team Leader of Litigation in the Dominican Republic.

-Achieved the first services agreement with the Jamaican government for $25 million, by drafting, executing and negotiating the necessary legal structure.

-Reduced regional legal expenses by more than 40% versus revenue increase. 

-Lead team to collect bad debt in Central America of over $10 million and reduced bad debt issues in the region, by designing and implementing new credit policies and regulations.

-Served as Leader Investigator for ethics cases throughout NoLA, recognized for ensuring corporate compliance.

-Managed training of all distributors and employees through out the region in FCPA, Export Compliance and Ethics.

-Enabled new revenues of $40 million, by creating subsidiaries and marketing entities in Venezuela, Ecuador, Guatemala, Jamaica and Honduras.

-Selected as a top 40 In-House Lawyer, under forty years old, by Latin Lawyer UK publication in 2005.

-Designed, negotiated and executed the largest services contract in Dell worldwide history with a contract value of $800 million.

-Led the Government Relations team in order to repeal a regulation that granted benefits to the competition in public tenders.

-Obtained favourable sentence for the largest administrative claim made by Dell LatAm for over $30 million.

-Designed, drafted and negotiated legal structure for the first IT leasing agreement with Mexican government of $10 million.

-Reduced operating expense over 10%, by negotiating major procurement contracts.

-Played a pivotal role in delivering an additional $30 million in revenue, by creating a Puerto Rico subsidiary and Costa Rica marketing entity.

-Team member of the largest acquisition made by Dell (Alienware purchase).

-Lowered consumer claims payment over 45% by reaching agreements prior to any claim filing

-Investigated and successfully sought prosecution in case of credit card fraud of over $1.5 million and found and proceeded against other purchase fraud of over half million.

-Shrunk legal expenses in Mexico and Colombia by over 40% compared with previous years.
