Long- Term Goals

Upon graduating I would like to earn a Sports Nutrition Certificate in a Masters program. Upon this achievement I would love to eventually become a performance dietitian for a competitive University helping them achieve new levels of excellence. The most important goal is for me to continue to love this practice and to allows do it for the well- being of myself and those who I affect.

I am currently a student of The University of Alabama studying Food and Nutrition.  I previously attended The University of Alabama in Huntsville studying Biology with a focus on Exercise Physiology. I ran for the Cross Country and Track teams at UAH and have been involved in Athletics my whole life. I finally found niche which is Nutrition and love every moment of it. With the work ethic I have developed throughout life I believe I can be trained to be a great Performance Nutritionist.

Community Service

I worked at " Run In The Sun" summer camp from 2007-2010. This camp was developed to get kids active during the summer months and to encourage them to run. It also served as a stepping stone in development for kids who were trying to get an athletic scholarship for college.

USATF Level I Coaching Certification  June 2009 (no expiration)

This certification provides the poof that I was taught an extensive program by experienced coaches through the United States of America Track and Field organization (USATF).

Work Interests

As a student in the Nutrition field I seek to better the world in individual wellness. Although I am most passionate about athletes simply due to my time spent in athletics. I believe I will be able to further nutrition education of many individuals who are not well informed on the subject. I love to work and have never in my life been told that I needed to work harder at any task. I would love to be able to increase the amount of sports nutritionist we have in the United States especially in the NCAA. I believe that nutrition is the missing link for many athletic programs, and once they see the results more doors will be open.

Short- Term Goals

As a student my current goals are to be accepted into the Coordinated Program in Dietetics here at The University of Alabama. I would also like to improve greatly upon my overall GPA and to continue to keep my major GPA in good standard. Once I graduate I will sit for the RD exam and hoping to pass it so I become a Registered Dietitian.
