- Conceptualization of new broadband delivery in developing countries based on present and next generation techniques. TV White Spaces utilization was conceived at this time in ICTP, Trieste, Italy in Marconi Wireless ICT4D/Telecommunications Laboratory. Using our proof of concept in Malawi at St. Mary’s Girls and Mulanje Secondary Schools, MACRA was convinced of the usefulness of the technology and is now finalizing regulations to open new business and employment using TVWS technology and more importantly allow industry players to deploy affordable internet for access to support critical sectors like education, health and digital financial inclusion (DFI) particularly in rural areas.
