I am a senior at Washington State University serving as the student body vice president. I am seeking future employment and educational opportunities both domestically and internationally. I enjoy learning and developing new skills and being part of the Cougar family has done nothing but reinforce those emotions. I enjoy networking and picking the brains of those individuals who have the life experience I so envy. Student Body Vice President

I currently serve as the student body vice president for Washington State University. I have many duties and responsibilities in this role such as chairing the student senate meetings and sittingĀ  on numerous university boards. I was elected for this position in March of 2011 and will serve through May of 2012. District of Academic Affairs

Washington State University

During the academic year of 2010-2011 I served as the Director of Academic Affairs for our executive administration. In this role I worked on numerous projects including the creation of a student academic affairs committee, general education requirement changes, and putting more money into the students pockets through encouraging faculty to participate in turning textbook orders in on time.

I was able to accompany our entire staff to Washington D.C. to attend the NACA East conference for student governments. I worked on both my leadership development and networking skills.

District 10 Senator

Beginning with my freshman year at Washington State University I became involved with student government. half way through my freshman year I was appointed the the student senate as a district 10 senator serving the students at large. The following year I was reelected as a district 10 senator where I also served in many other capacities such as the chair of the external affairs committee. In that role I was able to develop my event planning and communication skills.

I always seek opportunity to be a team leader. I am always seeking new materials to learn how to be the best leader I can be. My student government experience only makes up about 50% of the leadership experience I have had. My experiences range from positions within my sorority to positions on university committees and boards ranging form event planning to philanthropic groups.
