  • Spearheaded two key releases of the Intelliun's MDD platform under tight timelines and contributed heavily to sales and marketing efforts around the releases.

Recruited to be part of a team chartered to unify two distinct loan origination systems into a single, Service Oriented originations and servicing platform.  Responsible for the development of web services that integrate the originations system with mainframe based originations system and a third party vendor system.  Collaborated with business users and vendors spread across diverse functional units in collecting functional requirements and implementing the services.

Key Contributions

  • Responsible for leading the design and implementation of Web service wrappers for two mainframe-based loan servicing systems. Created a reusable and configurable Common Service Implementation Framework (CSIF) to support the implementation of document based Web services, using Axis 1.1 as the SOAP processing engine.
  • Proposed a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) based solution for a strategic Centralized Lead and Sales processing initiative to senior management. Introduced the concepts of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) to a team of developers and development managers.

Involved in the full development life cycle of a Model Driven Development platform and worked directly with the CEO/Chief Architect in identifying and defining the product architecture and vision.  Interacted with key customers and provided pre-sales technical support by giving product demos and presentations.

Key Contributions

  • Led a team of 8 developers in the design and development of a model driven software development platform. Responsible for hands-on development of several key modules of the platform including JNDI Providers, Security, EJB Integration, Web widgets framework, Portal framework, and a NetBeans based IDE.
  • Implemented a SOAP Server to support remote business process invocation and created a framework that transforms in-coming SOAP messages into business objects, executes a business process based on the specified SOAP Action and transforms the process response back into a SOAP response.
  • Designed and developed an ecommerce retail application that sold pre-paid calling cards online, with complete user registration, user authentication, shopping cart, and credit card processing functionality.

Graduate Research Assistant

Applied Rough Sets Theory to part family and machine cell formation problem of cellular manufacturing systems and developed an algorithm for identifying part families in the absence of complete information about parts and machine attributes. The results of this research have been published in the International Journal of Production Research. Created a Simulated Annealing algorithm to optimize the process of part family and machine cell formation of a cellular manufacturing system. Used OOA/D techniques to create an object model that represents the machines and parts in a part-machine graph and implemented the simulated annealing algorithm in C++.
