To obtain a position as a public relations professional, working with online and print media to help maintain favorable public image.


I am a marketing professional with skills in design and writing. I graduated in May 2011 with a degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Communication Studies. Currently I am employed at UnityWorks, a video advertising company based in Bloomington. Previously I held a marketing position at Lennar. And in college was employed by the Career Development Center as the Assistant Event Planner. In these positions I have learned to utilize the Adobe suites to create and publish posters, newspaper advertisements, hand outs, bulletin boards, and showcases. I also am skilled in writing press releases, blogs, articles and scripts. 

In my college years I was  the president of the Mankato chapter of PRSSA, Public Relations Society of America. In this position I learned how to manage an on-campus organization and run meetings of 20+ attendees. I have organized tours of major public relations companies and departments. 


I am often found writing both for my education and in my free time. Due to my excessive writing I often edit and critique others' papers and work. I enjoy reading and as of lately I have started to expand my interests and am learning to appreciate different genres.

Watching movies and playing sports such as soccer, tennis and  running are ways I enjoy winding down and are my way of 'stopping to smell the roses.'

I love to be creative! When I have down time, I draw, both with old-fashioned paper and pencil as well as design on computer software; including InDesign, I can even be found coloring in color books.

I enjoy networking on popular sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest, and love learning more and expanding my horizons online.

  • Create promotional material including posters, bulletin boards and advertisements placed in the on-campus newspaper to generate attendance at Career Development Center events.
  • Manage event tables monitoring and directing sign-in at all Career Development Center events hosted on campus.
  • Schedule appointments for students to meet with counselors regarding resumes and cover letters.


Radio Mankato
  • Assembled all radio equipment at many events and concerts sponsored by Radio Mankato allowing DJs to do remote talks.
  • Coordinated station sponsored events, including a Food Donations Parade, by cold calling corporations inquiring about sponsorships and support.
  • Socialized with event attendees and fans to promote stations reputation.
  • Captured all Radio Mankato sponsored events through photo and video and placing them on social networking sites so listeners can feel connected to the station.
