Hired during crisis management situation resulting from potential loss of #1 customer that accounted for over 80% of Span-America's business, all to the Acute Care (Hospital) Market.  Commissioned to design, develop, and implement strategic and tactical plans to develop products, set-up distribution channel, and hire/train a sales force for penetrating the Alternate Sites Market (Nursing Homes, Retail, Home Healthcare, DME, etc.) as well as, actively support the sales and marketing activities in the Acute Care Market.

  • Developed sales force training materials on products, Govt reimbursement, and clinical therapies.
  • Market & competitive analysis, forecasting and strategic planning for company operating plan.
  • Plan, research, execute and manage new product development projects from concept to launch including all marketing deliverables


  • Designed and set up new Strategic Marketing Plan for new expansion into Alternate Sites markets. 
  • Hired, trained and managed new independent sales force for 49 States. 
  • Secured contractual arrangements with National Chains, GPOs, National and Regional Medical Distributors

Despite the impressive accomplishments and progress of my segment of the business, after one year there was a mass exodus of management personnel, including myself, who left due to uncertainty about the financial viability and future of the company. 

It is with great pride that just a few years later I was congratulated by the V.P. of Sales and Marketing and informed that most of the sales and profits of the company 2 years after my departure emanated from sales within the Alternate Sites Market, which I started.
