 With Ashley Morrison as the anchor and executive producer of CBS Moneywatch, the number of live hits for CBS affiliates grew from 6 to 22 each morning. That's a growth of nearly 300% in 4 years.  Ashley is responsible for deciding what business and financial news stories will be chosen each morning, writing the stories and then anchoring the business news from 4am to 10am. Ashley begins her news hits starting with the network on The CBS Morning News, then on WCBS in New York City, WBBM in Chicago, KYW in Philadelphia, WBZ in Boston, KTVT in Dallas, KPIX in San Francisco, WTSP in Tampa, KFMB in San Diego, WTOL in Toledo and Cleveland and she is seen in many other major cities across the country. She is also on CBS Radio nationally everyday discussing the very latest on the global economy and business news.

Summary

After starting her career in finance as a series 6 & 63 licensed Estate Tax Planner, Ashley turned her attention and talents to Broadcast Journalism.  Working her way across the country, she landed in New York, first at WPIX , then at Bloomberg TV as an Anchor and Stocks Editor and then as a Business News anchor for CBS Moneywatch. After almost 15 years on air in New York, she moved to Miami, Florida in 2014 to co-anchor the 5 hour morning newscast "Today In Florida" on Fox's WSVN-TV.  

She has also maintained her passion for tennis.  A former NCAA,  All-ACC, 4-year Full Scholarship tennis player at North Carolina State University, where she was also elected Team Captain both her junior and senior years. Ashley was also awarded the state's "Mental Attitude and Sportmanship Award," which is voted on by peers and coaches. Her time on the court these days is mainly spent teaching the next generation of scholar athletes.

Ashley also played a news reporter in Steven Soderbergh's movie "Side Effects" with Jude Law, released in March 2013. She has also been  on the cover of several magazines including 25A, Florida Creating Living and SHE and has also been featured in several other other magazines including JACQ and Vintage NYC magazine. In January 2014 she was inducted in the first ever "Hall Of Fame" at her high school, Columbus East High School. She is actively involved and hosts  several events to benefit St.Judes Children's Research Hospital including the Big Daddy Celebrity Golf Classic and the Champions for Charity event at Tiffany In NYC. She also is the host of all of the St.Jude's fundraising events for South Florida and is a St. Jude's Team Ambassador, as well as an honorary chair member of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, hosting the LLS Journey of Hope Gala.
