Eckhardt, MD, FACS, is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, and other professional organizations. An active member of his field, he has delivered presentations at events such as the Plastic Surgery Senior Residents Conference and the Annual Mid-Atlantic Burn Conference. He has also published academic articles in several scholarly journals. Dr. Aric J. Eckhardt graduated summa cum laude with his Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Professional Zoology at Ohio Wesleyan University in 1987 and went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine at the Medical College of Ohio in 1992. During medical school, he won first place in the Association for Academic Surgery Student Research Award competition and also earned Clinical Honors in Family Medicine and Surgical Intensive Care. Dr. Eckhardt subsequently served a two-year residency in general surgery and at Hahnemann/Allegheny University Hospitals and a two-year fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Temple University Hospital.
