Work experience

Sep 2007Dec 2009

Project manager

KIG d.d.

I worked as a project leader in a manufacture of metallic products, with about 20% of my time devoted to marketing.

  • Design : I was in charge of the conception and development steps, the resistance calculation and the technical drawings in an ISO-certified environment (ISO 9001 and 14001). I worked either from an original idea or from a customer initial design, inside a qualified team always ready to interact when tackling critical issues.
  • Production : I supervised the project in the production phase and I was in first line to solve thedaily problems. Moreover, I used an ERP software to manage the "products and stock" database. Finally, I also discussed technical and cost-related aspects with our customers.
  • Marketing : I prospected international markets, I participated to international fairs and I developed KIG's future products (renewable energies : photo-voltaic and solar energies) in collaboration with the whole design team and the sales department.

Researcher then research consultant

Institute of Metals and Technology

From 08/2006 to 09/2007 : full-time researcher. My research field covered the influence of alloying elements on the microstructure of non-oriented electric steel grades. From 09/2007 to 12/2008 : part-time research consultant. My expertise in the field of electric steels was used as a research support for further work in the same domain.

Monika Jenko

Prof. Jenko is the head of the IMT in Ljubljana. I worked under her supervision for one year in the field of electric steel. When I left the Institute to seize an opportunity in the private sector, we both agreed that it would be a shame to terminate our professional relationship so she offered me a position of research consultant at the Institute.

Pascal Jacques

Prof. Jacques was my mentor during the five years of my doctoral research. He is a talented young professor who guided me during my PhD. He also delegated to me the every-day guidance of several undergraduate students during their graduate thesis research.

Vojko Kraševec

Mr. Kraševec has been working as the C.E.O. of KIG d.d. for over 5 years. He's constantly looking for new ways to develop his company's activities and product range. I enjoyed working for KIG d.d. and it was certainly due to the high level of trust in our regular interactions. Moreover, he used to give me a lot of  space for our initiative and sense of responsibility.
