One of the 2005 founders of the Dada USA start-up - which in 2007 formed a Joint Venture with Sony Music Entertainment.
- Throughout the 4 years at Dada, as VP of Marketing, I have deployed a cost-effective customer acquisition strategy which resulted in a growth of the Dada mobile subscribers’ base from 0 to 1MLN active users. Budget managed: $30mln/year. Milestones: launch of the first on and off-deck multi-million mobile campaigns, creation of a Dada API affiliate program, TV campaigns through the new Google TV Ads program.
Successful launch of music and mobile services.
- I was responsible for conceiving the new Dada Mobile Music service, for executing the product and go-to market strategy and coordinating the branding, PR and advertising campaigns. After 6 months from the launch, Dada.net was named one of TOP 5 MOBILE STORIES OF 2008 by Billboard Magazine (December 20, 2008) along with the Apple iPhone. The revamped service produced a dramatic improvement of the life-time value of Dada customers.
- I was responsible for introducing the Shazam mobile music recognition service in the Italian market and secure its exclusive launch in partnership with zed Italy in 2004. The service generated an 8% improvement of the customer retention for zed.
- I was responsible for executing the first European mobile marketing campaign for Pringles in partnership with zed Italy (6mln packs with a Get free music promo code), Italy 2003.
In the past 10 years, I’ve participated to the negotiation of all types of licensing deals from games to applications to music downloads and streaming, dealing with big and smaller brands (Disney, THQ, UMG, EMI, Sony, The Orchard, IODA, etc)
