Appointed RVP to oversee both Sales and Operations for entire Western U.S. This included management of 5 physical locations - Austin, Houston, Denver, Las Vegas and San Diego - as well as a team that included 145 members and typically 10 direct reports. In addition to providing the company with sales results which grew to match those of established East Coast production, a culture was created that provided for a very productive work environment where each and every employee felt ownership of their responsibilities as well as part of our success. In fact, the business unit worked so well together and rapidly became so proficient at serving the customer that in late 2007, after being in the community just over a year, the Colorado Association of Mortgage Brokers chose Silver Hill as Wholesale Lender of The Year! Additionally, methods involved in the production of commercial real estate loans; underwriting, closing and banking of these loans, were constantly examined under my leadership to insure an efficient workflow. This developed certain efficiencies that were taken on nationally.
