Forged high-profile executive client relationships and spearheaded development of innovative mobile applications from conception through launch, defining creative and brand visions, rigorously controlling costs, and consistently exceeding expectations. Stressed user-centered design and worked closely with Director of Product Strategy in marrying benefits within existing software development expertise. Guided cross-functional teams composed of developers, engineering managers, QA, content, business analysts and others as well as offshore staff in consistently attaining project milestones. Spurred growth through recommending new client initiatives and capitalizing on cutting-edge technologies.

Key Accomplishments:

  • Led both in-house team and offshore staff in launching streaming full-length-video iPad application for PBS. Garnered WEBBY Award 2011. Facilitated UI development and offered creative insights throughout.
  • Served as Program Manager for Time Inc, NYC, launching well-received products including iPhone and Android versions of subscription-based Sports Illustrated Everywhere and GoogleChrome Fortune 500 applications. Oversaw program expansion, conducted in-depth technology solutions review, and navigated complex development frameworks including Sproutcore, Sencha, and HTML5.
  • Pursued and successfully established relationship with CARFAX, guiding technical staff in producing dealer-access iPhone and Android apps and ensuring post-launch support.
  • Enhanced Three Pillar Global marketing capabilities through executing full redesign of website using Drupal 7, honing creative vision, establishing blog editorial calendar, managing offshore development resources, and CRM integration within highly aggressive 8-week timeframe.

Established studio and attained profitability within 2 years through recruiting design/development professionals focused on addressing client needs and consistently producing best-in-class digital B2B communications.  Defined creative and strategic vision, instituted viable product development methodologies, and closely monitored project teams involved in programming, design, database, and e-commerce work. Presented with 2009 Regional "Corporate Heroine" Award by Women in Technology and March of Dimes Metro D.C.  Key Accomplishments:

  • Achieved exceptional results for Invision.TV social media product through crafting innovative messaging targeting end-user, advertiser, and investor markets, facilitating brand/identity development, providing trade show collateral, and launching Flash-based promotional site. Invision.TV presented with DEMO-GOD award for innovation at fall 2008 DEMO Show for emerging technologies.
  • Managed development and launch of interactive sales tool for new suite of Trimble Navigation GPS products, including storyboard, scripts, original art, content development and Flash animation.   • Created intuitive website architecture and design informing users, donors, and volunteers about Habitat for Humanity ReStore retail facility. Guided development using Expression Engine (EE) content management system, implemented dynamic features such as rotating content modules, and trained Habitat staff on using CMS.
  • Developed custom online ordering solution for La Prima Catering coordinating between 10 catering kitchens in Philadelphia/Baltimore/DC region: http://www.laprimacatering.com/ .
  • Crafted corporate site with SharePoint Intranet/Extranet functionality for Roylance Abrams legal firm. Integrated SharePoint for both document/library management as well as CMS, spurring new uses of SharePoint MOSS: http://www.roylance.com/ .
  • Single-handedly developed client base and received outstanding feedback on complex projects through hiring SMEs in social media integration, SharePoint and Convio, gaming development, and strategic marketing.
1998 - 2001

Director, Product Design

Time Warner Cable

Forged consumer experience vision for Road Runner ISP and managed roll-out, launching 11 divisions in 18 months. Managed interaction design of entire service including creative, features, product strategy, and UI design. Noted for exceptional cross-functional team leadership and successfully balancing divergent product development priorities.  Key Accomplishments:

  • Operated as User Experience evangelist for AT&T and AOL business merger transitioning 4M customers to Time Warner Cable services, providing seamless interface with Engineering for collaborative evolution of existing products and multi-brand initiatives. 
  • Provided creative direction for third-party co-branded products, service utilities, interactive feature modules, and service "skin". Assessed creative and human factors for beta launch of Road Runner Interactive Television.

Career Note: Enhanced satisfaction amongst 1M+ Road Runner High Speed Online subscriber base through developing broadband specials, strengthening information architecture, facilitating new media integration, and superior cross-functional team management as Senior Manager, Creative Development (1998-1999).
