Guest Services Manager
What began as a short term internship for HAC in Louisiana for Honey Brake, a duck lodge, turned into a full time Guest Services position with Cheyenne Ridge Outpost and Signature Lodge in Nebraska and South Dakota for duck, goose, pheasant and fishing seasons. Working as the Manager for the Signature Lodge for the full season, taught me more than I can imagine. Learning how much that the behind-the-scenes work is an integral part of the experience clients receive and expect from a high-end lodge was a real eye opener for me, and that establishing a personal connection to guests and all the little details, do make a big difference when it comes to their overall satisfaction of their experience at the lodge. As the point-of-contact person for planning and understanding individual expectations through phone calls and emails, meeting them in person, and in the end saying goodbye, knowing they are walking away happy with a true life experience, is rewarding and fun! Responsibilities included scheduled calendars, day by day routing of activities, payroll, licensing, collecting payments/deposits, using Lodgical, plus a wide range of concierge duties.
