As a teacher I believe my purpose is to encourage healthy living and lifelong learning in each of my students. First and foremost, I strive to model this behavior in my own life by maintaining a high moral standard, strong work ethic, and positive outlook each day. In addition to continuing my dance and pedagogical education I am also passionate about being a force that changes the face of education today. I am currently co-authoring a book for K-12 classroom teachers on how to integrate movement and the arts into the classroom to help gain and keep the attention of our students. I am an active participant and presenter in dance education and arts integrated studies at the local, state and national levels through various conferences, workshops, and classes.
