My name is Annemarie East, Anna for short. I am a senior at Royal Oak High School in Royal Oak, Michigan. I have a 3.833 GPA, and I will be graduating with honors. This Fall, I will be attending Wayne State University on a full-ride honors scholarship. I plan to study psychology, but I'm unsure of where my life will take me. I only hope I can spend my life helping people.

My job experience includes being a busser at National Coney Island and making ice cream at Dairy Boy Ice Cream. I worked at Dairy Boy during the summer of 2009, and I have worked at National Coney Island since September of 2011. I have also spent a lot of time babysitting and dogsitting. I'm Co-President of the Invisible Children Club at my school with my sister, a club which raises awareness about a war in Africa. I'm also an avid member of a Relay For Life team, which helps raise money for people with cancer. I'm an involved student, and I plan to stay that way into college.

My skills include, but are not limited to, math and english. These are my strongest subjects. I'm a quick learner, and I tend to excel at the things I try. I've recently been a part of a Media Literacy class that moves to promote learning through technology. The link to our YouTube channel is in my contact information. I helped to edit and write many of the videos that were posted. With every project, I learn more about technology and how it works. Samples of the projects where I was responsible for filming and editing are shown in my portfolio.

English is a very strong subject for me. I love to edit things that others have written. I have a vast knowledge of proper sentence struction. I'm a bit of a stickler about it. I understand how sentences flow, and I believe my writing is improved because of it. I hope to study more composition in the future.

I am currently in AP Calculus AB in my high school. I have always been great at math, and it's one of my strongest subjects in school. I hope to use it well into my future.
