Financial Services Representative
My responsibilities as a Financial Services Representative were to, first and foremost, assist existing and new clients with their financial needs. I did this by performing maintenance on existing clients' accounts, making recommendations to help clients make or save money, referring clients to other lines of business within SunTrust, opening new client relationships and making sure i target their current and future financial needs, all the while maintaining an up-beat, professional demeanor. I had monthly deposit goals and I typically brought in 200K + in new deposits every month. I sold loans, took applications and closed loans after the underwriting process was completed. I am a notary for the state of Virginia. I was also cross trained as a teller so that I could perform teller duties when necessary. This job required excellent communication skills, both through e-mail and speaking and required self-motivation, all of which I practiced on a daily basis.
