I am currently employed  on a 3 month trial and working full time at a funeral home. My job includes answering the phone, ensuring the home is tidy and presentable, ordering stock, filing paper work, assisting on removals, computer work and meeting and greeting, trimming caskets and building cremation caskets.

Instructor/ Counsellor

Frost Valley YMCA

I was hired for the summer by Frost Valley YMCA. I was a horse riding instructor for children of various ages and abilities. I taught on a daily basis. This job also included barn duties such as: mucking out, feeding, administering medications and ointments, exercising horses and ponies, round penning, teaching ground lessons, wrangling, turning out and dealing with horses in large herds. I worked individually and with a team of  40 girls.

During this course at Benalla Health, I worked in different areas of the hospital from being in Emergency to being in Administration, dealing with patient files and taking observations. This was run through TAFE and was completed in 2014. The course took place over a two year period.

Brian Walsh Funeral Homes

I worked for Mr. Walsh in Cobram, Victoria on a casual basis. I started my casual  employment with him in 2014. I previously did work experience (2012) and assisted for a few weeks. Having had more experience he decided to take me on as a casual member of his staff, working holidays and weekends when required. My job included but is not limited to: driving the hearse, doing mortuary work, preparing coffins, preparing grave sites and churches, creating photo montages, making funeral books and memorial books, using the computer (microsoft) and dealing with paper work.

This was a summer job placement. My job included but was not limited to: cleaning aircraft's, emptying waste disposal systems, vacuuming, mopping. Also attained an ASIC, airport security card, which allowed me to work air side on any aircraft.

I completed my studies at Benalla P-12 College in country Victoria. I undertook classes in Psychology, Mathematics, English, Health and Human Development, Food and Technology, Biology, Chemistry, and a Tafe course of Allied Health Services.

I was accepted into the nursing program at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in  Australia but deferred my studies to work in the UK for two years.

GoTafe Victoria

This certification allows me to work in aged care and to further my career options in areas such as theater technician and enrolled nursing. I attended Benalla Hospital one day a week during the school year as a part of the course. I have, through the hospital, completed no lift procedure presentations and aseptic techniques seminars which have allowed me to pass my certificates with almost perfect marks.


I volunteered in USA at Eicholtz funeral home and shadowed a mortician and a funeral director. This job included but what not limited to: meeting and greeting, meetings with families, working in the morgue, cleaning, paper work, travelling. 

As a part of Year 10 work experience, I volunteered at my school and worked in the office. This included doing paper work, answering phone calls, photocopying and assisting teachers. 

Awards and Recognition

Through high school graduation I received numerous awards totalling almost a thousand dollars in scholarships, three of which were outstanding. 

1. $550 scholarship- Long Tan Award. Given by Australian Defence Force for recognition of Leadership and Teamwork.

2. $100 scholarship- Rotary Australia. Given for my outstanding leadership through out my VCE.

3. $100 scholarship- Benalla Health. Given for my encouragement to continue to pursue a career in the Health Industry.
