Partner Success Director

Thriving startup: a community-driven website promoting international education programs all over the globe.

  • Stepped into expanded role, charged with the success of all Go Overseas accounts (hundreds of paid campaigns).
    • Revenue: Created sales funnel from scratch and untapped revenue stream aimed at the University market. Since 12/2015, converted 11 campaigns, generating $13,500+ (and growing daily).
    • Relationships & Service: Earn and nurture client/non-client relationships. Known for unwavering 24-hour-or-less response to clients via email or phone. Deliver in-depth support: curate unique content, analyze referral traffic data and on-site metrics, reflect campaign priorities. Represent Go Overseas at conferences throughout the US.
    • Cross-Functional Teams: Provide feedback to UX & Dev teams to build upon current tools and efficiency. Apply an innovative, big-picture approach to the overall Dashboard (portal) user experience to constantly improve workflow. Advise colleagues on country promotions and scholarship marketing initiatives.
    • Data-Driven: Articulate campaign performance feedback based on referral traffic data -- primarily utilizing Google Analytics. 
    • Site-Wide Content: 
      • SEO Indexation: Manage User Growth team to ensure all relevant client content is submitted to Google Webmaster tools (to leverage organic traffic).
      • Listings: Publish all new listings and add to appropriate pages on Go Overseas. Responsible for 10,000+ listings site-wide.
      • HTML: Code staff + alumni interviews across the site (20-50 per week).
    • Campaigns: Launch newly acquired client campaigns; ensure campaign renewal by gathering feedback on performance throughout campaign (30-day review, mid-campaign review, and regular updates on company news and initiatives).

Study & Intern Abroad Marketing Director

Shaped, implemented and oversaw marketing initiatives and special projects. 

  • Successes and contributions during tenure resulted in expanded role at Go Overseas (above).
    • Scholarship Marketing: Directed the 2014 and 2015 campaigns for largest client account since company’s inception -- the New Zealand embassy. Aim: to market a $15,000 study abroad in New Zealand scholarship and generate interest in that region holistically.
      • Metrics: (comparatively from 2015 to 2014) Total Applications 2,361 <---  1,089. Pageviews 43,186 <--- 46,337. Average Time on Page 12:09 <--- 7:44. Social Media Reach: 68,000 <--- 1,000. 
      • Nurtured Outreach Outlets: 4,000+ industry professionals.
      • Impact: (reported contribution to the New Zealand economy) $4.5 million in 2015 and $1.5 million in 2014.
      • Content Audit: Led the SEO audit of the "Internships Abroad" section.
        • Performance Impact: the pageviews, average time on page and bounce rate have all significantly improved. Overall trending upward growth and gaining traction by the day.
      • New Silo Launch: Managed the launch of the “Language Schools Abroad” section from top to bottom (45+ pages).
        • Metrics Reporting: Overall trending upward growth and continues to gain traction. For example, pageviews have doubled over the course of 12 months. Beginning to accept paid advertising within this section now that the visitor numbers justify and support campaign costs.

    Study Abroad Advisor

    Served as liaison and orchestrator for study abroad opportunities in Europe, Asia, Africa, South America and Australia (20+ programs).

    • Program Administration & Leadership: Coordinated customized arrangements for each student. Navigated complex group & individual logistics.
      • Visas: liaised with 10 global consulates to arrange student entries.
      • Employee Handbook: spearheaded first (in 30 years) best-practice guide -- encompassing 35 programs. 
      • Marketing & Promotion: collaborated with global associates and university partners to develop updated materials. Managed the graphic design team.
    • Relationship Management & Conflict Resolution: Guided students, faculty and families through diverse program offerings and complex culture shock situations (pre and post departure). Eased and mediated conflicts with parents, students, faculty and stakeholders.


    Aug 2009 - May 2013

    Television Reporter / Producer / Anchor

    Investigated story ideas, shot video, interviewed subjects, edited footage and published reporting packages for live television and re-wrote for web.

    • Reporter: Turned one news package per week for a year. Conducted live-shots, wrote anchor teases and produced all material from start to finish.
    • Anchor: Anchored weekly newscast once per week for four years. Only freshman to have on-air position from 2009 - 2010.
    • Producer: Led one newscast per week for six months with one co-producer. Managed tech operators, anchors and reporters to ensure the live newscast was 110% ready and all content was turned in on time. Filled in on cameras, audio booth and technical equipment when necessary.
    • Awards: Earned "1st Place Newscast" at BEA's Festival of Media Arts national student news competition.
      • Responsible for all web-produced content (publishing stories, writing show teases and managed all social media efforts)

    Marketing Intern

    Successful full-time summer internship turned into part-time semester internship.

    • Event Planning: Planned annual fundraising benefit (800+ attendees) and raised $57,000 for local clubs. Coordinated team appreciation event for 200+ staff and volunteers. 
    • Content: Created human resources plan for 17 sites. Synchronized outreach presentations, helmed social media, wrote/photographed newspaper and press releases, and orchestrated details for events.

    Freelance Journalist

    Responsible for the "Along the Way” column highlighting community organizations and outstanding individuals. Circulation of 36,500.

    • Content Execution: Scouted stories, interviewed subjects, wrote and photographed pieces. Partnered with the Managing Editor to turn one story per week.
