a) Requirement Management

Project: Voice E2E Testing


Role: Project Front Door

Customer: British Telecom,UK

This project involves E2E testing of Voice services for BT Wholesale Line of Business.This comprises of sub streams such as Service Fulfillment, Service Assurance, Infrastructure Plan and Build, Real Time Traffic and Alarm Management and Network testing. I am playing the Role of the Project Front Door.

As the project  front door, I am responsible for the following:

- Interact with BT delivery and BT design and identify the testing  requirements for the coming quarter

- Interface with the testing team and design team and ensure design calls are set up for each requirement

- Identify the feasibility of testing, dependencies for each requirement and provide test commitment

- Manage resources according to the commitments

- Monitor all the adhoc  requirements through a change request process

- Monitor the components code delivery into testing environment and liaise with the delivery in case of delays and revisit on the testing window

- Identify the regression requirements based on the new functionality delivered in the release

- Track all the requirements till the test completion and report the test progress on daily basis to the customer

- Provide signoff at the end of the release

- Carry out analysis post release completion such as Test Preparation wastage, delivery adherence , defect density, quality of input

a) Test Transformation

Project: BT Wholesale Test Transformation

Role: Transformation Lead

Customer:British Telecom,UK

This project involved identifying the transformation objectives and monitoring the milestones across all the BT wholesale projects. As a transformation lead, I was responsible to identify the gaps in the existing process and come up with an improvement plan.

I carried out the following activities:

- Audited test cases, defects and HPQC management across all projects

- Identified the areas of improvements in test case identification, test case detailing , test case management in HPQC

- Deeply studied  the HPQC usage across the engagement and identified the gaps and non-conformance to the standard processes

- Based on my study,authored  a document for best practices and standard policies for Test case design and effective test management on HPQC and published the same to BT

- Prepared a transformation plan,defined objectives, fixed milestones and transformation sprints

- Monitored the progress of the milestones and within 6 sprints, successfully achieved all the transformation objectives

Appreciation: My efforts were appreciated and recognised by the customer and I was awarded the 'BT Extra Miler' award.

b) E2E OSS Testing

Role: E2E Tester

Customer: British Telecom,UK

The project involved E2E testing for provisioning of services,trouble ticket management and debt management for BT Retail Line of Business.

As a tester, I was responsible for the following:

-Test case design for all flavors of service provisioning such as simple provide,amend,cancel and cease based on the design documents

-Test case design for trouble ticket management and debt management

-Sanity testing to verify the E2E components connectivity to test each functionality

-E2E Functional testing for all the above mentioned journeys

-E2E Manual regression testing on each functionality

-Identifying defects and tracking them till closure on HP Quality Center

-Daily and weekly reporting of the test progress to the customer
