I am an avid book reader and like to read up on anything and everything. Apart from academics, cricket and carom occupy my time during vacations. I love to draw figure drawing . Interacting with new people and exploring new places is another thing I like to do.
The technical session began with the discussion by Dhanya Ramachandran on introduction to IPR and apprised the audience of the various aspects of intellectual property law with various interesting examples. It was followed by a simulation/strategy game on the theme conducted by Mrs. Swapna Sundar (CEO, IP Dome). It focused on link between make in India and the importance of IPR It also emphasized upon the role that the local universities can play in this endeavor.
The second plenary session emphasizing on INTERFACE OF PUBLIC LAW & IPR was cherished by Mr. Vineet Subramani(Advocate) Madras High Court.He discussed compulsory license and its relevant provisions(Section-31,31A,31B,31C,31D) under The Copyright Act. Honourable Mr. Justice Shripathi Ravindra bhat, Delhi High Court concluded the session by addressing his observations on patent cases in India.
This year, the discussions included attention to broad perspectives on clarifying the meaning and reality of open collaborative innovation, as well as significant focus on the sub-themes of economic development (innovation and software patents, clean technologies, climate change and green patenting, issues of branding and plain packaging); sustainable development (agriculture and geographic indicators [GI]); policy, law and regulation (role of governments, patenting, compulsory licensing [CL], global institutions [particularly WTO, WIPO and WHO] and national institutions [particularly patent offices])
Attended the 1 day training program conducted by the institute under the ministry of Commerce & Industry. The syllubus included introduction ,scope,practical aspect of copyright laws and filing of copyright in India.It was taught by Adv Dipak G. Parmar (Founder CYBER-IPR).
