Angel Leiva

Angel Leiva, having earned his Juris Doctor in May 2016, completed an education characterized by active participation in and contribution to his fields of study. During undergraduate studies in biology and chemistry, Angel Leiva was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa international honor society, was awarded the United States Presidential Volunteer Service Gold Award, and contributed to numerous publications and laboratory efforts involving laser dermatology and skin cancer research, including a publication in the Journal Nature.
After redirecting his focus of study toward law, Mr. Leiva became a member of the international Phi Alpha Delta fraternity, a professional service organization joining law students and legal practitioners in advancing scholarship and community welfare. He also displayed a particular interest in the United States’ constitutional history, taking courses in Constitutional Originalism and the Federalist Papers during the summer of 2014, and accepted membership in the Federalist Society.
Throughout his legal education, Angel Leiva accumulated considerable professional experience, joining the Collier County Bar Association, the Miami-Dade County Bar Association, and the Immigration Law Society. He served as an intern for Senator Marco Rubio, worked as a law clerk and conducted research for Scott Bloch, a former attorney with the United States Special Counsel, and drafted legal documents and agreements as an law clerk with Golab Intellectual Property.
