Prior to founding JustAnswer.com, Andy Kurtzig served as the Founder and CEO of eBenefits, an Internet-based human resource management service for small business. In this role from 1996 to 2003, Andy Kurtzig helped more than 14,000 small business clients from across the country easily manage human resources needs relating to payroll management, health insurance benefits, retirement benefits, and more. Andy Kurtzig sold eBenefits to an Inc. 500 company in 2003. Andy Kurtzig’s career in entrepreneurship began with the founding of ANSER Corp., a San Francisco-based software development company. Specializing in software and services to provide calendar automation for the newspaper industry, Andy Kurtzig’s company garnered a number of prominent clients, including the San Francisco Bay Guardian and The Post Newspaper Group. Andy Kurtzig eventually sold ANSER to the San Francisco Bay Guardian. Kurtzig founded ANSER while he was a student at the University of California, Berkeley. Andy Kurtzig graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Beyond managing JustAnswer.com, Andy Kurtzig serves as the Founder of The Royal Ball, a fundraising event established in 2008 to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Originally conceived by Andy Kurtzig with the support of his wife and eldest daughter, The Royal Ball is an annual event held in the San Francisco Bay Area focused on raising funds for a Type 1 diabetes cure.
