With more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry, Andrew Karetsky now serves as President of his own firm, Skyview Ventures, which he launched in 2008. The company advises clients wishing to invest in renewable energy projects. Other business lines include investing in emerging firms, financing the development of facilities, and trading environmental attributes. Karetsky has developed relationships with members of the solar energy industry, including financers, project developers, product distributors, and manufacturers. Notably, Skyview Ventures was contracted by General Electric to design and build a carport in Plainville, Connecticut. Skyview Ventures also constructed and owns a solar facility in New Jersey. Over the past four years, the company has advised on a number of transactions. Before he founded Skyview Ventures, Karetsky was a private investor working out of Greenwich, Connecticut. He managed theme-based portfolios, including tolling, renewable energy, and the electronicifiation of trade exchanges. Karetsky also focused investments in developing markets like India and Brazil. Andrew Karetsky spent more than eight years as a partner with Camelot Capitol, also in Greenwich. A long-short hedge fund, Camelot Capital invested in software services and Internet companies, with a focus on company-specific research. As the first outside hire, Karetsky was responsible for daily risk, trading, and sell-side firm management. His management group grew assets from $70 million to $1.3 billion. Andrew Karetsky also founded Tuscany Enterprises, which he ran for nearly seven years out of Baltimore, Maryland. He started his finance career at Alex. Brown & Sons. A resident of Greenwich, Connecticut, Andrew Karetsky enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, coaching, traveling, and reading.
