I conceived, developed, designed, produced, edited, and directed a variety of live-streaming, explanatory still image & video Multimedia projects for the university's Global Learning Department. I was also tasked with the acquisition, operation, maintenance and/or oversight of related equipment, project ideation, production, completion & distribution-related function. My projects completion were a result of my coordinating with different departments, people & groups to achieve deliverables that boosted awareness of the university's Global Learning Department & promoted our brand image to the public via audio & visual communication.
As a matter of routine during my 3 months full time employment at the University of Houston's Clear Lake campus, I met with representatives within our department and from other areas of the university to understand policies, material & requirements, conduct analysis, presenting findings & offer recommendations, lead or participate in effective strategy formulation & arrange training as necessary for the successful completion of various Multimedia, still image and printed projects.
As one of 4 team principals, I am responsible for proposal, creation, and capture of all audio, dynamic multimedia imagery for video, and conventional still photography, the client requires. Additionally, I consult on the design of all website and printed material for both clients and Content Creators. From preproduction meeting through final project project presentation, I offer Content Creators' recommendations on all matters related to visual content.
Create either visual essays or photographs to accompany lead stories, and coach edit and layout images from the magazine's photographers.
Generate Multimedia pieces for websites as needed.

AS CO-TEAM LEADER FOR THE MIAMI DOLPHINS COVERAGE:
Make recommendations concerning which games required coverage, and based on their kickoff times and locations, who would staff which games, how the cards would be handled, assign either lab technicians and or editors to the event, coordinate with the league for credentials, obtain airplane tickets, rental cars, hotel rooms, workspace at the stadium, and secure a means of transmission so deadline could be made.
AS ATHLETIC SPECIAL SECTIONS PHOTOGRAPHER:
Either generate and execute a concept for the 4 times per year high school, college and professional sports editions.
Conceive, present, execute and complete both daily and long term news and feature assignments via conventional digital photography, multi-media and video imagery. This work is in addition to my regular staff duties: Conception, presentation, execution and completion of both daily and long term news and feature assignments via conventional photography and multimedia and video.

AS A STAFF PHOTOGRAPHER:
IN THE USA: Negotiate access, maintain track of and coordinate with the subjects while keeping management apprised of developments in both stories, each of which averaged 8 months of photography : "Joe and Jennifer, HIV Positive and Homeless" and "Breaking the Cycle." Each piece is represented in the multimedia section of this CV. This work is in addition to my regular staff duties: Conception, presentation, execution and completion of both daily and long term news and feature assignments via conventional photography and multimedia.
INTERNATIONALLY: Via conventional digital photography and multi-media, conceive, present, execute and complete both daily and long term news and feature imagery while on extended assignment in Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Kenya, Vietnam, Kuwait and Iraq.
INTERNATIONALLY:
Coordinate with the Cuban Interests Section and U.S. State Department, travel and work visas, financial and equipment transport to Cuba, and in advance of the event, coverage of, access to Papal events, workspace and deadline fulfillment once in Cuba, as part of the Times' coverage of Pope John Paul II's state visit to the island in 1998.
IN THE UNITED STATES:
Research and present my portion, which dealt with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms enforcement section, of the photography staff's project "Turning of the Leaf, 24 Hours of Tobacco in Florida." This work is in addition to my regular staff duties: Conception, presentation, execution and completion of both daily and long term news and feature assignments via conventional and digital photography.
AS TEAM LEADER FOR THE ORLANDO MAGIC AND UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA FOOTBALL COVERAGE:
Make recommendations concerning which games required coverage, and based on their kickoff times and locations, who would staff which games, how the film would be handled, coordinate with the AP if their assistance was required in processing the film, assign either lab technicians and or editors to the event if necessary, coordinate with the sports' governing bodies for credentials, obtain airplane tickets, rental cars, hotel rooms, workspace at the stadium, and secure a telephone line for transmission, so deadline could be made.

IN PIONEERING WIRE SERVICE STYLIZED PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY:
I conceived, planned and executed a series of portraits of America's best hopes for gold medals in the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. Success required I convince AP sports and news picture editors , via a group of sketches I commissioned from my portrait ideas to give me work and travel time and money for props, airfare, rental cars and hotel accommodation. As I had already made contact with the United States Olympic Committee for a list of each member organization. With portraits conceived for each athletic discipline, I contacted each sport's governing body from the USOC list and asked who the best chance of a gold medal was. With this list complete, I evaluated each sport's qualifying regimen, athlete's hometown and training site to determine how I could photograph the greatest number of athletes in the shortest time while traveling and spending the least.
AS A STAFF PHOTOGRAPHER, PICTURE AND ASSIGNMENT EDITOR:
From behind a desk or via telephone, the duties of staff photographer at the Associated Press go beyond literal image making and include photo editing, assignment of freelance photographers to complete image requests from AP member publications, eliciting the submission of photographs from member publications to the AP, assignment of workspace, telephone lines for image transmission and film processing in local athletic facilities for member photographers coming to Georgia to photograph various events
Behind the camera, my duties included the completion of photographic assignments of local, state-wide, national and international significance in particular, the NFL's Super Bowl in 1995, two NCAA Southeastern Conference Football Championships, 2 years of the NCAA East Regional Men's Basketball and Southeastern Conference Tournaments. I was the only person to photograph O.J. Simpson's first interview and public appearance since his acquittal of murder charges. My international experience as an AP staffer included several months in Haiti covering events related to the US-led military invasion.
AS A MANAGEMENT TRAINEE: Attend a year's instruction with the training and consulting corporation " Achieve Global " who administered a management training program to select Miami Herald staffers whose managers recognized the staffers' inherent leadership potential would be further developed by a program of " learning-based solutions (that) focus on skills training and consulting in leadership training. "

My time as a flight student included a general academic education in the US Navy's regulations, structure, administration, leadership and the general technical aspects of flight during 4 months in Pensacola, FL's Aviation Officer Candidate School. Upon commissioning at graduation in Pensacola, approximately 18 months actually flying aircraft at the navy's air training facility in Corpus Christi, Texas followed.
