Summary

Andrew Fentress began his career in finance after completing his undergraduate and graduate education. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Boston College in 1992. During his time at Boston College, Andrew Fentress competed at the regional and national level for four years on the varsity sailing team, which competed in two national championships. Mr. Fentress earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler School of Business in 1997. After completing his MBA, Andrew Fentress accepted a position with Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc. In his seven years with the company, he assumed roles of increasing responsibility. Before leaving in 2002, he served as a Principal, a position in which he oversaw the operations of a global trading team in such sectors as technology, telecommunications, and media. Throughout the early 2000s, Mr. Fentress further established himself through his involvement with investment firms as a Portfolio Manager. During 2002, he supplemented his experience in the telecommunications and media industries as a member of the CQ Partners investment team. Also a Portfolio Manager with Columbus Nova, Andrew Fentress fulfilled dual roles, working in both the firm’s Private Funds Group and its Global Markets business. In 2005, Andrew Fentress and three partners co-founded Medley Capital, a private investment firm headquartered in New York. The firm has since expanded to San Francisco and today manages approximately $1.6 billion in assets.
