As far back as I can remember, I've always been interested in business, watching my father run his own and being keen to help was something I grew up with.
At 16 I became the Managing Director of a business as a result of taking part in Young Enterprise. The company ran for a year and was very successful and as a result received six awards. Due to the exposure this company gave me, I was later awarded a full scholarship to the University of Buckingham to study BSc Business Enterprise.
Apart from business, I have a keen interest in sport. At 15, I was awarded ‘Sports leader of the year’ and became the 'Sports Ambassador of the Mandeville School Sports Partnership’ which consists of 37 schools. I met many of the British Olympians from Beijing and best of all, got to teach and encourage sport across Buckinghamshire. My role was to encourage young people to take part in sport and to promote the Olympic values in the run up to London 2012.
Although I have run several mini enterprises, I have also tried to gain as much experience in the work place as possible. I have held a range of jobs in different sectors, many at the same time. Some of the skills I've gained within these roles include;
- Website and Content Management
- Marketing & Communications
- Adobe Design Suite
- Account Management
- CRM (Microsoft Dynamics, Highway and Zoho)
- Email Marketing
- Google Analytics and Search Console (Webmaster tools)
- Website Development (HTML, CSS, PHP)
- Social Media Management
My main strengths and experience are within SEO, Account Management, Website and Content Management and Website Development.
I was also lucky enough work within the Operations Team for the largest McDonald's in the world at London 2012.
Currently, I own a Digital Marketing company based in Aylesbury and am a business advisor for Young Enterprise. Sharing my knowledge and experience with students, yet to make that step into the world of work.
I'm currently seeking a new challenge, particularly within a marketing post/department (private or public sector). If you have read this and think I may be able to help, please contact me.
