Center Club, Costa Mesa, CA A La Carte Server Â· Assist banquets with special events such as business receptions and weddings. Involves setting up and breaking down full banquets depending on their specific setup. Â· Bar-back if needed and assist guests in assigned section. Â· Welcome each member from by name depending on their preference and assist them and guests with any requests in a timely manner. Â· Be sure each table is set to club standards and clean promptly when members leave. Â· Assisted members and guests with making menu choices in an informative and helpful fashion. Â· Maintained knowledge of current menu items, garnishes, ingredients and preparation methods. The lunch and dinner menus' for both restaurants changes completely every 1-2 months Â· Appropriately suggested additional items to customers to increase restaurant sales. Â· Effectively communicated with kitchen staff regarding customer allergies, dietary needs and other special requests. Â· Accurately recorded orders and partnered with team members to serve food and beverages that exceeded guests expectations. Â· Promptly served all food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests. 3-4 course meals taking into account any and all special modifications/requests. Â· Skillfully anticipated and addressed member service needs. Â· Correctly calculated charges, issued bills and collected payments. Â· Routinely cleaned table linens, table settings, glassware, windowsills, carpets, counters, floors, storage areas and service refrigerators. Â· Effectively used items in stock to decrease waste and profit loss. Â· Maintained a professional tone of voice and words at all times, including during peak rush hours. Â· Complete assigned side work depending on section before competing shift.
