We work with consumer brands and products focused on the apparel, footwear, and sporting goods marketplaces, driving omnichannel strategies for growth, B2C and B2B adoption, and retail placement.

Clients include with Alpina d.o.o. (Slovenia), Alpina Sports (USA), Faytex Corp, NBALabs and 1221, LLC. 

The Sabot Hill Group, LLC began operations in March 2013 as an acquisition vehicle to purchase p.w.minor & sons, inc.  We're experienced in working with with PE and Angel investors in equity and/or debt financing.


Executive Vice President

Directed all brand, product development, sales and marketing, and product sourcing and services as changing market conditions warranted and established policy and tactical plans.


  • Re-positioned the brand adopting a“ Health and Heritage” position, building on vast historical legacy while creating a highly relevant and modern product line.
  • Built new e-commerce website, employing new brand position themes, driving high margin direct-to-consumer sales using SEO/SEM/PPC and direct marketing programs.
  • Completely revamped and modernized the footwear product line to create trend relevant and brand appropriate collections. Sales of new product increased 35% over 3 years under new design philosophy, updated lasts & outsoles, new packaging and POP, and introduced new USA made“ brand statement" Heritage collection to showcase USA factory capabilities.
  • Planned, modeled and executed restructuring of sales force employing a channel driven sales strategy vs. traditional geographic model, hiring 6 additional outside and 3 new inside sales reps, driving customer focused sales and communication efforts.
  • Directed transition of sourcing model from employee based (fixed cost) to sourcing agent driven (variable cost) model while seeking out, qualifying and employing new China factories whose expertise better matched company and brand needs.

Successfully directed teams of volunteers in creating and producing effective branding and marketing communications. Outlined and developed strategies to showcase performance and reporting results in annual reports and leading fundraising activities. Managed web-based outreach and oversaw organization brand ID programs.

Negotiated proprietary supplier agreement into “branded component” strategy utilizing Intel Inside™ business model.

Successfully redesigned website enhancing site navigation and greatly improving user experience.


Marketing Manager

Jarden Consumer Solutions

Successfully negotiated the license of game-changing air filtration technology for the Bionaire brand for 2008. Built the business plan-sales and marketing go-to-market model.

Successfully built category- busting product, marketing and distribution program for 2008 go-to-market that exploit a $1m consumer research and product development program. Direction of $4m mar/com budget, $500k industrial design budget and management of direct reports.

Directed cross-functional team that included product management, industrial design, project engineering, finance, purchasing, manufacturing, sourcing, mar/com and sales.

JiBS After Sport, LLC

Collaborated with angel and private equity investors to finance operations and maintain patents for this turnaround effort. Re-launched the brand as after-sport winter footwear, defining and capturing market and developed an  innovative materials technology story.

  • Expanded sales coverage to 75% of the US.

New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc.

Launched comfort footwear brand, Aravon, directed at the P&L level and achieving all sales targets in the launch season. Led team of direct reports, outside design team and in-house product development resources. Worked with brand consultants, sales management, and field sales representatives to successfully drive sales performance.

International Skiing History Association - Board of Directors 

The International Skiing History Association (ISHA) is a not-for-profit corporation, whose mission is to preserve and advance the knowledge of ski history and to increase public awareness of the sport’s heritage.  ISHA publishes a magazine enthusiastically read six times a year by lovers of skiing, researchers, hall-of-fame members and skiers around the world. It makes ski history accessible to thousands of enthusiasts on the Internet. With an awards program, it annually honors ski history writers, website creators, filmmakers and broadcasters who document the sport’s history.

Pedorthic Footwear Association - Board of Directors  2011-2014

The Pedorthic Footcare Association (PFA), founded in 1958, is the not-for-profit professional association which represents the interests of the certified and/or licensed pedorthist and supports the pedorthic profession at large. Through PFA's efforts, pedorthics – the design, manufacture, modification and fit of shoes and foot orthoses to alleviate problems caused by disease, congenital condition, overuse or injury – is a well-established allied health profession which makes an invaluable contribution to public health.  

Taproot Foundation - Volunteer Account Manager

Taproot Foundation's mission is to "lead, mobilize and engage professionals in pro bono service that drives social change." It's work focuses around building a pro bono marketplace that, like philanthropy, is large, transparent, professional and accessible. The organization was founded in 2001 by Aaron Hurst and opened the grant service program.
